Annotation |
The author draws on Weil's idea of attention along with the work of Grace Jantzen to critique traditional philosophical ethics, particularly the failure to consider the importance of religion for ethics. Ultimately, she seeks to develop what she calls a 'religious ethic of attention'. In so doing, she pays particular attention to Weil's writing on gravity and grace and the destruction or decreation of the self. |
