This article provides a philosophic analysis of Weil’s concepts of the love of God and the love of neighbour. After presenting the initial problem of an inherent contradiction between these two loves in Weil’s thought, the author goes on to suggest possible solutions. Ultimately he says he fails, leaving the problem of incompatibility between these two loves unresolved. |
