Annotation

Andic compares Weil’s views on freedom, justice and Christian Platonism to those of the Christian philosopher and poet Boethius . He begins with Boethius, presenting his discussion with ‘lady philosophy’ about the nature of justice, a discussion, which takes places while he is in prison wrongfully convicted of treason and sorcery. Andic next compares and contrasts the views of Boethius on justice and freedom to those of Simone Weil. He concludes by discussing both thinkers as ‘Christian Platonists’.
