Annotation |
The author argues Emmanuel Levinas’ and Simone Weil’s attempt to provide a justification or redemption of evil would be morally unsatisfying to anyone seriously considering the evil and suffering in the world. Hamblet draws only on Weil’s writing in Gravity and Grace and Waiting for God resulting in a limited, and somewhat superficial assessment of her thought. |
